Semester Summary

Things I learned:
1. The first 7 weeks of nursing school are “kick your butt” difficult.

2. Miraculously, I survived the first 7 weeks.

3. A study group that will laugh with/at you is imperative to survival. And, we actually studied a little as well.

4. Mexican food is an absolute requirement to survive Pharmacology. Thank goodness Mi Ranchito’s has great lunch specials on Wednesday—and lots of coupons for free cheese dip.

5. No more Monday morning test taking. That means you, Pathophysiology.

6. My Pathophysiology II class is...you guessed it...Monday morning.

7. The Patho final I took was the hardest test of my life. So far. I’m guessing the final next spring may just top it. I’m waiting with baited breath.

8. I got an “A” in Chemistry by .88 of a point. I like to leave a little margin.

9. Somehow, I superseded my personal expectations for this semester. Hard to do. On the bright side, I’m excited about that. On the less than bright side, my expectations for next semester are ridiculous. At least I’ll have something to work towards.

10. I have never been so happy for Christmas break, in my life. There was no way I could cram one more iota of information into my brain—until next semester.

Speaking of next semester, the blogging will resume once classes start again, and I have things to rant about. Until then...Merry Christmas!
