Scrubs

I know, I know, what you all are dying to hear about is what happened during finals...I'll get to that. Possibly next week while I enjoy my 1 week summer break. Yes, you read that correctly, I get a 1 week summer break. It's a little thing I like to refer to as a rigorous academic schedule.

Anyway, after my super fabulous, what will I do with all my free time, 1 week summer break, I start clinicals. You might have noticed the new little disclaimer on the side of my blog. If not, check it out.

Since I will be working in the hospital, I have to look the part. Buying scrubs is no longer a 3-style, 4 color decision. There are styles. It's like jean shopping, except the pants are more comfortable. Really, if I were drawing an appropriate analogy, I would have to say it's like shopping for very public pajamas. You know, pajamas that are totally professional. I digress. (Side note: when political recovery became a reality for me, and I chose nursing as a new career, the fact that I get to wear scrubs for work "might" have been a factor in that decision..."might.")

I went scrub shopping this weekend, and bought some scrubs, but not before I tried on every style in the store that they carried in the designated (assigned) by the school color. Thank goodness I like the assigned color. It would be rough if I had to wear Sea Foam green scrubs for the next 13 months. After trying on said styles, I FINALLY found some that fit. And thank goodness they make the pants in the short length because I can't sew, and I'm vertically challenged.

(I would provide more details about the trying on of scrubs, but I write for a mixed audience, and I don't want to bore the boys...if they are still reading.)

If you're super curious, (again, hi mom), here's what they look like...Oh, and I only put up the tops because scrub pants are boring.
