So it begins...

I guess trying to start this blog is a sign of things to come. I had the idea three weeks ago, and I finally have the time to write the 1st post. The saddest part of this whole blogging saga is that I have been on vacation for the entire time. Why is it so hard to get things done when you have nothing to do?

Why am I blogging about nursing school?
I have realized that funny things happen to me. A lot. I think the combination of medical practice and funny things will provide me with some giggles, and you might laugh too. Be forewarned, as my bio states, I am a recovering politico. On occasion I may wander off on a tangent related to something political—but never fear, levity will soon return, I assure you.

How did this happen?
Still wondering that myself. But, after spending the last 10 years or so working on various political campaigns or for political parties and organizations, I thought it was time to grow up and get a real job. And, having spent the better part of those years switching jobs every 12-18 months or hopping from one campaign to the next, I was ready for some job security. In order to start nursing school this fall, the first thing I had to do was take Anatomy and Physiology. I took them, this summer, all 8 hours of misery. Much to my surprise, I actually enjoyed it. That’s when I decided this nursing school thing might not be so bad after all. Then I found out I had to take Chemistry...
