When I decided to go back to school, I had a couple of rules.
1. Finish in 2 years.
2. Nothing else matters.
After researching various programs, and meeting with advisors, etc. I realized that finishing in 2 years would be a stretch. I would have to combine nursing courses with some pre-requisites, such as Chemistry, etc. Of course, while I was deciding all of this prior to starting a class, I was up for the challenge.
Fast forward 6 months...
I took the last week of my Christmas break to study for and prepare to test out of 6 hours worth of classes. (I would have started earlier, but my brother got married the week after Christmas. I offered to plan his wedding before I ever decided to go crazy.) Now, I am in the midst of FREAKING OUT about these tests. If I can’t test out of them this week, I will have to take them this semester because I have to be done with them by May!
Suffice to say, I have spent most of the last week studying for these tests—cutting my short Christmas break even shorter.
Really, I need to re-examine my ambition. It’s annoying.
