Wow! As I was getting ready to transfer to the ICU, I realized that I didn't even celebrate the fact that I graduated from nursing school one year ago around this time. That's crazy!
Last year at this time, I was posting about what I learned in nursing school.
My thoughts on starting my first real nursing job--complete with one of my favorite Google searches of all time.
And, my almost failure of professional responsibility without even knowing it.
The funny thing is, it may have only been a year, and in some regards I'm so much more comfortable than I was, but there are still large parts of my time at the hospital where I think, "Wow. I've only begun to learn." And that is a great feeling.
I've learned so much about what compassion looks like, seen death first hand, and have laughed. A lot.
